I have spent a fair few hours going through the form for today's racing, and have come up with 6 bets for myself. 3 win bets and 3 e/w.
I'll start of with the win bets, as one of them is by far my best bet of the day.

I have to admit, Finians Rainbow is becoming a very big price considering his excellent form last year... but Captain Chris has improved markedly over the summer and can continue his progression. Its no secret that I have always had a soft spot for him, having tipped him up in the 2011 King George where he finished 3rd. But the trip today of 2m5f should be 100% perfect. His course form and the fact he is excellent on the ground helps convince myself he's the winner today.
11-4 Best price. Best bet

Kentford Grey Lady is another horse that I have followed for some time. With a form line through Reve De Sivola, she has the beating of Trustan Times, and with the Mares allowance, she is nearly a stone lighter.
15-8 Best price.

Ohio Gold was a decent hurdler and has come up against a couple of very good novice chasers. This is a step up in trip, and a handicap debut on a mark that appears pretty lenient. He beat Open Hearted by 12 lengths who has been given a handicap mark of 133, Ohio Gold is running off 134 today. He can certainly win this if running up to form.
5-2 Best price.

I suppose you could call this my best e/w bet of the day. Back in November a class 3 handicap race was run here and the winner was The Rainbow Hunter. Behind him that day were Loch Ba, Politeo, Carrickboy and Brackloon High (who fell, and is also running in this race). All four of these horses have since come out and won really well. None more impressively than that of Loch Ba, who won by 8 lengths at Newbury. So the form of this race is pretty good. The Rainbow Hunter came out after that to race in a really boggy event at Chepstow where he pulled up after not travelling and making mistakes. I am definitely happy to ignore that run, and coming back to Sandown off just 5lbs more appeals to me a lot.
7-1 Best price.

The Betfred Grand National trial. 14 runners, heavy going over 3m4f... this is going to be a slog. By the looks of it, Teaforthree can beat Monbeg Dude with the weights adjustment... but both have been put up a fair amount. The third that day was Triggerman. That was his first run on heavy and for a long way he ran really well. He went down 2lbs for this and has 3lbs off from the jockey. He is 4lbs below his last winning weight and I think he can definitely make a name for himself today.
14-1 Best price.

Some may say I'm mad for attempting to take on Rocky Creek here. But I just don't think this track will play into his strengths. Tour Des Champs, although ridden, was responding well for pressure and upsides Rocky Creek when he fell at Warwick and has come out and won since. Although he didn't beat much that day he jumped really well and it wasn't a hard race at all. At the prices I am much more happier to back Tour Des Champs e/w than Rocky Creek at odds on.
6-1 Best price.
And that's me for today. I'll be out all day so will catch up with these later. Best of luck.
