I was really taken by the performance on Gullinbursti's victory last time out, beating a couple of nice promising sorts. Its a good race this but given for natural improvement i think this is the horse they all have to beat.

14.40 - Uttoxeter
Dropped into a handicap for the first time, and off a fair enough mark, I believe Ebony River is the one to be on in this race. It was a very good run in 2nd last time out, which was the début for this yard.

RACING Tuesday 29/11/11
Even though its a shame that Ayr has been abandoned, I still think there is plenty to like at Lingfield today... and I like 1 at Southwell.
13.55 Southwell
The NAP comes in this race and I side with Commemorate for John Ferguson. This new trainer has had an excellent start to his training career and can continue today. Commemorate was only ok on the flat for Andre Fabre but J Ferguson has been transferring many average flat horses into very promising hurdlers of late.

This is where the N.B runs, and its for one of the Richard Hannon horses. I side with Emmuska who won nicely over c&d last time out and has a very good apprentice on him to reduce the penalty. So he's actually running off the same mark today.

My 3rd and final bet today comes in this claimer. Le Toreador has an excellent strike rate at Lingfield in much better races here... however, he does have to bounce back from a very poor run last time out. I am pleased to see Philip Makin back on and I am expecting a very big run.

RACING Monday 28/11/11
If there was ever a day to say keep betting at a minimum, it would be today. I don't actually think the racing will be all that bad, and could be entertaining, but from a betting angle, its not the best.
So I bring you 3 speculative e/w bets.
14.45 Wolverhampton
Some of you may remember i put up One Way or Another as a NAP a few weeks ago and it came 2nd from a bad draw and after a slow start. Well, he turns out again today in a similar race and from a better draw. Its time to get some back from this horse.

RACING Sunday 27/11/11
A pretty poor day all round yesterday... lets make up for that here.

Texas Jack is a horse to follow this year after 3 impressive wins. He can keep his unbeaten record here before going on to big things.

Good morning all. Just the 5 bets from me today. Looking at 2 shortish prices for the NAP and N.B and then a couple of e/w shots.
14.05 Newbury
Cracking little race this with many in with a chance. But Empire Levant was hugely impressive on Thursday, and as he didn't even come off the bridle will be fine for this quick turnout. The time of that race was pretty impressive as well considering he didn't reach 3rd gear and i am happy with the weight. So thats my NAP.

Beshabar for me here. Its a nice 14-1 price and is a very good horse. Many people are wondering whether the trip is inadequate, but it won last year over 3 miles nicely after a mini break... i think this trip will be fine and has an excellent chance.

Something that surprised me here was the prices on another 2 horses. Can someone please go through the form and tell me why Wayward Prince is 8-1 and Sarando is 14-1?? In my eyes, Sarando has the much better form. Therefore, i have also had a small e/w on Sarando.

Today brings us day 2 of the Sportingbet Newbury Winter Festival my NAP and N.B come from here.

A tight little novice chase here but I really do like the look of Sollim. Paul Nichols targets good horses for this race and I feel this horse will be better suited to fences.

A few promising sorts here from top yards. But i feel that Its A Gimme's form behind Hazy Tom is excellent and went straight into the notebook. And at its price you could possibly even go e/w.

RACING Thursday 24/11/11
Good morning again all. Lets see if we can get some winners today.
2.20 Taunton
The NAP today comes in this race and is Sweet Irony. This horse was highly tried on seasonal début in a group 2 race, so in my opinion must have been going well at home. Providing that fall hasn't knocked his confidence I am expecting a big run.
3-1 Best price
12.30 Newbury
Kentford Grey Lady is from the inform Emma Lavelle yard and this horse finished 2nd behind some very nice prospects last time out, pulling clear of the 4th. She will definitely be fighting it out at the finish, and I am expecting victory.
100-30 Best price
2 other horses I have backed are;
Zarrafakt in the 2.45 Newbury, best price is 6-1. This horse has a 100% record when fresh, and is also for Emma Lavelle.
Kickahead is running in the selling race to kick off the Taunton meeting (12.40). Easily the best at the weights and if you look back far enough has some nice hurdles form. 5-2

A cracking day today... The NAP Sweet Irony travelled like the winner all the way until the last fence and then came 2nd.
The N.B was a great winner and carried on Emma Lavelles good form. Held up for most of the way before smooth head way to win going away.

Good morning all, hope you are all well today. Racing today brings 5 meetings in total, 4 in the UK and 1 in Ireland.
I have 3 bets on for today. 2 from Wetherby and one from Lingfield on the polytrack.
12.55 Wetherby
Battle Group is my NAP today and is a horse i have been excited about seeing over fences. BG is the clear pick on hurdles ratings after a good Group 3 win at Aintree in April. 15-8 represents value to me.
14.00 Wetherby
Everything points to Best Lover here, and this is my N.B. He has to overcome a year off, but did do exactly that on chasing début last year and can do the same for me here.
7-2 Best price.
14.10 Lingfield

If Royal Prospector is ridden prominently today then I really cannot see him out of the first 3. He has improved with every run, the step up in trip and the draw are all perfect and he can handle the polytrack. It’s now drifted out to a nice e/w price and I have backed.

The NAP travelled like the winner for all of the race until it found absolutely nothing off the bridle. I do not like horses like that so am willing to scrap from my notebook, I believe it will defo lose more than win.
The N.B jumped and travelled lovely and was a ready winner. Very pleased with the 7-2 there.
Royal Prospector was jostled along early to get a prominent position. That's no excuses though as was beaten fair and square. This horse will win a race one day though.

Rowan Spirit is the NAP. This is a horse I tipped last time out and finished 2nd just behind Punching. They both pulled away nicely from the rest of the field and I feel this one can get on top this time out with Graham Gibbons keeping the ride and from a better draw.

Father Probus is the N.B. This horse made a very pleasing chase début last time out and that form has worked out very nicely indeed. Hasn't been penalised for that either and stays at a mark of 107.
