RACING Saturday 04/02/12 - Handicap Special

I'm probably not the first person to say how disappointed they are that no jump meetings made it in the UK today. I was especially looking forward to seeing Oscar Whiskey... but oh well, at least we have some racing on the polytrack.

I will only be looking at the handicaps at both Lingfield and Wolverhampton today so lets see what I can find.

These are not NAPS, or NB's... I will be backing all of them for small stakes to make the polytrack interesting.

14.00 Lingfield
Cut The Cackle was VERY unlucky last time out and can make amends here. With a lot of pace in the race we can expect this one to come late.
WIN
3-1 Best price.
WINNER

14.30 Lingfield
Custom House is my highest priced runner of the day. If it comes 2nd or 3rd then I'll be happy. This gelding has dropped to a handy mark and has a good claimer taking off another 3lbs.
E/W
14-1 Best price.
Unplaced

15.00 Lingfield
Lockantanks loves it here and ran very well in a higher grade last time. Expecting to at least place.
E/W
6-1 Best price.
2nd

15.35 Lingfield
In my eyes Layline improved for the extra 2 furlongs last time and was dropped 4lbs (??)... I am expecting Shane Kelly to get the best out of him this time as somehow Robert Winston got this horse caught in traffic in a 4 runner race last time!
E/W
13-2 Best price.
WINNER

14.05 Wolverhampton
Even though Misere has never won before, he has been running off a mark that is far too high for him. I am definitely expecting better for the drop in trip and off 51 can make his presence felt.
E/W
8-1 Best price.
4th :-(

14.40 Wolverhampton
Piscean steps back up in trip to 7 furlongs, which I think is an excellent decision. and has Jamie (Frank) Spencer on...
WIN
5-1 Best price.
WINNER - won at 11-2

15.15 Wolverhampton
Veroon is now back down to his last winning mark and likes it over this course and distance. This is a good price against the fancied runners.
E/W
9-1 Best price.
2nd

15.45 Wolverhampton
Face Value is expected to run well now stepped up in trip for Gordon Elliot and will now be spot on after recent run from a break.
WIN
9-4 Best price.
WINNER

17.15 Wolverhampton
Mccool Bananas should have been a clear cut winner last time, so clearly off a good mark. Lets hope Adam Kirby doesn't make the same mistake as Hayley Turner.
WIN
2-1 Best price.
VOID

And that's it for the handicap special.

Good luck all.
