My selections today come from Southwell and Sedgefield. Its not the best of days for betting in my opinion, so it might be wise to stick to minimum stakes today.

Soopacal is by Captain Rio so Southwell is probably his best surface. His latest run over course and distance was his best for sometime and a drop into claiming company can see him win here, like it did on his last victory.

We have a rather experienced Irish raider in this race, who to me, looks fully exposed. I am siding with the Charles Egerton trained Monnow Made who made a very pleasing debut over hurdles and looked as if the extra few furlongs will be ideal.

A lot of horses for courses in this race, but none more so than the prolific Monsieur Jamie who is bidding for his 5th C&D win in only his 7th attempt.
